Team Oklahoma 17u Preview

Team Oklahoma has been a dominant program in the last decade. They currently compete on the NXTPRO/PRO16 Circuit with Puma. They had a great summer last year where they proved they could compete at the highest level, even with D1 caliber guys. Sunday evening, I had the opportunity to go check out the unsigned prospects from the 2026 and 2027 classes at the Team Oklahoma facility in Piedmont. Across the board, there were about 30 guys there who all brought serious skills to the floor. Class of 2026 Hudson Hite starred of course as he’s one of the top unsigned seniors right now. He would be a great addition to someone’s roster. The ones that caught my eye though were the 2027 players. This is a big season for them. This summer will allow them to earn recognition that they deserve and set each player up for a strong senior school ball season, where they’ll hopefully commit to a squad at the next level. Here’s a preview of the top 17u squad from Team Oklahoma.

Edan Litherland | 6’3 | CG | McLoud | Edan is the center piece for this squad. He’s definitely going to be the guy to go to this summer as he has the skills to lead his team to the NXTPRO Finals. He’s coming off a solid junior season at McLoud where his squad had a decent playoff run. He earned MVP honors with the Indians and is set to do so again. Standing at 6’3, Litherland possesses a threat for most matchups on the floor. He’s a lengthy guard who can handle the rock and shoot over defenders. He’s very crafty when it comes to scoring and has a good vision for getting to the rim. He’s also a great lockdown defender and can snatch the loose board. I’m excited to see how he does these next 9 months.

Jacob Campbell | 6’3 | G | Piedmont | Jacob will be a great addition to this Oklahoma group. He’s a 6’3 guard as well but a very physical one at that. He’s got a strong frame that’s perfect for overpowering opponents on both ends of the floor. He handles the rock well but really excels on the defensive side where he averaged over almost 2 steals a game in 6A ball for Piedmont. He tracks the ball well too, always scanning for the next play and where he can impact the game. He scores when needed and does his job, excellent traits to have for a championship caliber team.

Spencer Lebeau | 6’0 | G | Edmond North | Spencer is pretty much a Swiss Army Knife for the squads he’s on. He’s a silent killer but gets active and vocal when the time arises. Originally a Ram in Owasso, LeBeau transferred in to Edmond North where he was a major piece in propelling the Huskies to another solid season. He’s deadly from the corner threes. You cannot leave this dude open. He makes plays all around and will be a big help for this team. I predict Spencer to see the most growth and development out of the 9 guys on the roster.

Cooper Coons | 6’0 | G | Bixby | Cooper is an absolute sniper from all distances, especially from beyond the arc. Not only can he shoot the lights out, he’ll go to work driving in the paint, dishing out times, forcing turnovers, and making plays all around. He’s versatile. Yes he can shoot, but he has a true point guard appearance to him as well. He’s going to do some serious damage to defenses this summer. Got to put a hand up.

Brevin Walters | 6’3 | G | Collinsville | Another tall guard, Brevin is a well-suited prospect who can fit in wherever he needs to be on a squad. He handles the ball very well and precisely, weaving through any defense. He’s got a great eye for pinpointing the weakness of an opponent and immediately attacking it. He helped lead his Collinsville team to the 5A State Playoffs last month where he had a solid streak of performances to get there. He’s set to grow his name even more this summer and next winter.

Aaron Hill | 6’7 | F | Leedey | Aaron Hill is coming off a strong junior season for Leedey. They too saw a deep playoff run and made it to the Class BII State Playoffs at the new OG&E Coliseum. Hill is a very key piece in the paint for his guys. He has a strong foundation and acts like a boulder that cannot be moved. However, he’s still able to move around swiftly, snatching boards, grabbing boards, swatting shots, and the occasional two hand slam at the rim. If he can stay out of foul trouble, he’ll be tough to stop.

Oliver Wallace | 6’2 | G | Broken Arrow | Oliver looks super comfortable and smooth with the rock or at anytime he’s on the floor. He does a great job of staying in control and keeping things going at his pace. He’s very smart with the rock, only making precise passes and strategic shot selections. He has a great ability to create seperation from a defender, then knock down a contested pull-up jumper from the stripe. Oliver’s high motor benefits him well when driving in the paint where he cooks up a tough finish through contact.

Luke Dubbell | 6’2 | G | Crossings Christian | Luke is the player I’m excited to watch develop the most. At Crossings, he was in the footsteps of several key players who have moved on to play at the next level. He knows what it’s like to win. He will help provide that same thing for this team. I’m curious to see how he adjusts with more on his plate and a bigger role. He’s going to shine though as a shifty guard with a great ability hit shots when needed.

Ryker Neisent | 6’5 | G/F | Destiny Christian | Ryker is a bully on the floor. He’s relentless in the paint and on the perimter. He’s 6’5 with long arms and a built frame to outwork defenders. He stays patient and makes sure to take the best shot available for his guys. This past season with Destiny Christian, Neisent put up double-double numbers nearly every game against solid competition. He’s going to do the same thing on the Puma Circuit. He’s got the skills and tendencies to be a high impact player.
